Private Respiratory Paediatrician in London
I am a consultant respiratory paediatrician, one of only a few in the UK who does nothing else. My NHS practice is at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, the national referral centre for diseases of the lungs and heart for children (and indeed adults).
There, we have one of the largest adult and paediatric clinics for cystic fibrosis in the world, one of the largest primary ciliary dyskinesia clinics in Europe and the largest difficult asthma clinic in the UK. My other specialist areas are firstly sleep medicine for children and we have one of the largest groups of children dependent on non-invasive ventilation in the world and secondly food allergies, such a common problem nowadays.
Following on from my doctoral thesis, my research interests centre on respiratory physiology and cystic fibrosis. If you wish to look at my curriculum vitae (resume), please click on the CV link on the right.
Dr Mark Rosenthal explains - Why are we so bad at managing asthma?
I have been invited to give lectures in many of the countries of Europe, the USA, Japan, Peru and South Africa.
I am the visiting professor of respiratory paediatrics at the Universities of Odessa and Visiting consultant in respiratory paediatrics in Lviv in Ukraine, Doha in Qatar and Thessalonika, Greece.
I have also appeared as a medical expert in legal cases in the UK high court and court of appeal and given evidence to a House of Lords select committee on allergy.
As a specialist private consultant paediatrician in London, I see patients privately at the clinics shown below. Children with asthma, cough, recurrent chest infections, poor sleeping/recurrent waking issues, snoring, night terrors and suspected food problems are especially welcome.
